Bases 0.5.1
Quote from IoM-Christian on 2019-11-18, 11:03IoM can be played using 4, 6, and 8 sided, as well as round Bases. Any shape works as long as they have a clear indication of their models front-facing, and players agree in advance.
- 20 mm (square) = Infantry - small
- 30 mm (square) = Infantry - medium
- 40 mm (square) = Infantry - large | Monster - small
- 60 mm (square) = Machine / Monster - huge
- 20*40 mm (rectangular) = Cavalry
- 25*50 mm (rectangular) = Beast
- 40*60 mm (rectangular) = Monster - large
- 40*80 mm (rectangular) = Chariot
- 50 mm (round) = Divine Object
MODELS SHARING A BASE
Even though a model is an entity standing on its own base, there’s some cases however, where several models share a base.
MOUNTS
Cavalry models usually consist of a mount and a rider. For which we use the mount Move, Die, Health, and Range, if any, and riders Range, Die, Health and Morale. If the rider is slain, both models on the base are considered slain and handled accordingly.
Beasts and Monsters can be used as mount, and we then use the Beast/Monster Move, Die, Health, and Range if any, and riders Range, Die, Health and Morale. If the rider is slain Beasts Break, and Monsters Rampage.
In some cases, beasts, or monsters, have more than 1 Health. In such situations the rider is hit on 5+.
CHARIOT
Several models able to deliver their own attacks fill these bases, but are treated as one model. But when you attack it, you can hit either hull, pulling ones, or crew:
1-2 Pulling models
3-5 Hull model
6 Crew models
If either is slain, the other remain in place.
WAR MACHINES
Several crew models often operate these bulks of destruction. If engaged in melee you hit either hull or crew
1- 4 Hull model
5+ Crew models
If either is slain, the other remain in place.
Base sides.
If already engaged at the front opponents might attack from base sides, giving them +1 AIM. If enemies attack from the rear, they gain +2 AIM.
