N'Aldaan : Atado Gozada's army (WIP)

Page 1 of 3Next

Here I will show the N'Aldaan army, which are being built alongside creation of both Game Rules and Army List revisions.

Total Army Models...

Some of the miniatures are created by myself, others are minis I've found matching the feel I wanted for the N'Aldaan, from these companies:

Foot & Mounted Troops: Samurai 16th Century

Nobles: Steelfist Miniatures - Samurai Wars

Current Army composition...

General Atado Gozada of House Nabu, mounted

Command Battle Banner

Command Miko Shrine

Core Matado Bandu'Zan 5 Katana

Core Matado Nagil'Zan 5 Pike

Core Matado Pudo'Zan 5 Naginata

Core Nabu Armoza'Zan 4 Bows

Auxiliary Garu Suhemar 8 2H weapons (sumo)

Auxiliary Kabu-Odor 8 2 1H weapons (geisha)

1.st setup of what I have and thinking about colour schemes for the Circle Alliance Army.

2nd setup.

Sorted units accordingly to the army composition: Command, Core, Auxiliary, Special, Machines, Allies. And, read up on the Wikis N'aldaan info and elaborated on the Circle Alliance and 'Zan Houses of Nabu, Rado, and Matado. And created Coat of Arms (banners) for the troops from 10 families under the command of  Atado Gozada.

Shadows, Allied Monks and all the colourful Nobles have no Coat of Arms yet. Not have I decided on the 6 Battle Banners and Atado Gozada's Colours.

3rd setup.

From playable to recognizable...

Almost halfway with base colours, units are now placed with Core/Machines to the left, then Auxiliary flanked by Igaar nobles and Command, and finally Allied Shadows  & Monks at the right.

Its not too visible yet, but I'm painting Core in darker colours than Auxiliary, to get a visible tell of heavyness or slight of foot. Command will be dark as Core, Shadows generally black or really dark colours. Monks and Igarr nobles will be really bright.

Been busy sculpting and printing a unit of Suhemar (Sumo Wrestlers) and finaly completed painting version 1 of them to sets how they support the brush!

Loads of refining to do, but at least I now have a playable unit...

Finally came around to sculpting and printing my Kagura-Odor.  The paint job did not end where planned! As I painted the fans I realized my skills was way to low to attempt kimono decorations. They also didn't get the planned brush wig as it became too messy. So, instead they got mask wigs made out of flock.

Loads of refining to do on clothing and proportions, but at least I now have a playable unit of these...
