They are praising the divine gods like the rest of us, but never structured the gods and lore. The Lore of the Veil (Hutankai Magic) is about manipulating the environment and confusing the enemy.

Call of the Great Buaya (Buff)
Range: 15cm.
Effect: A friendly unit gains +1 Strength and the Fearless trait (ignores Morale tests) until the Shaman's next activation.

Range: 10cm.
Effect: Spectral scales shimmer and a sellected unit gains +1 Armor (up to the max of 3).

Spirit-Swarm (Debuff):
Range: 20 cm.
Effect: Calling forth spectral insects to cloud an enemy's vision, making them suffer -1 to hit on its attacks.

Range: 15cm.
Effect: Choose a point on the ground. A 5cm diameter area becomes "Dangerous Terrain." Any unit (except Hutankai) moving through it takes a Strength 2 hit from scalding steam.

Range: Battlefield.
Effect: Until the start of the next turn, a friendly unit cannot be the target of a "Charge" action.

Sulfurous Cloud (Area Control)
Range: 20cm
Effect: Place a 10cm fog template which blocks Line of Sight entirely. If a unit starts its turn inside, or enters the cloud, its Move is reduced by 2cm as they cough and sputter in the sulfur.

Those tweaks fit perfectly. Scaling the **Ancestral Scales** cost per armor point is a smart way to keep it balanced, and making **Mirage of the Mangrove** battlefield-wide makes it a high-stakes tactical "reset" button.

Here are the remaining 4 spells (2 for the Shaman, 2 for the Druid) to round out your lore of predatory mysticism and volcanic vapors.

Blood-Scent Frenzy (Buff)
Range: 15cm
Effect: Target a friendly unit. If that unit is within 10cm of an enemy that has already lost at least 1 Health, the friendly unit gains +D3cm Move and +1 Attack for this turn.

Venomous Spit (Offensive/Debuff)
Range: 15cm
Effect: The Shaman strikes an enemy with a burst of necrotic saliva. The target takes a Strength 2 hit. Additionally, their Reach is reduced to 0cm until the next round as their limbs go numb.

Obsidian Spike (Offensive)
Range: 20cm
Effect: The Druid causes the earth to rupture. Target an enemy unit; they take D3 hits at Strength 3. This spell ignores the target's Armor if the target is currently in "Difficult Terrain" or a "Geothermal Vent."

Veil of the Unseen (Illusion)
Range: 10cm
Effect: Place a marker on a friendly unit. Any enemy attempting to target this unit with a ranged attack must first roll a 4+ on a D6. If they fail, the shot is wasted as they fire at a flickering after-image.
