History

The thin-leaved decidous hardwood tree are typically short-lived species spread throughout the southern areas of Temperate and Boreal Climates. First noticed in late Dark Ages it slowly became more dominant through Second Age.

Some of the Birch species are of such hardness that they are used in buildings, as armour and even tools and weapons.
