No one knows why it’s possible, but some beings are able to shift their appearance between Races. Neither does anyone know when it first occurred, as there are many old sagas referring to ancient shapeshifting events.

Generally, the possession Spirit only emerges in one shape, but it is known that polyshaping can occur.
