Description

Towering above most in its preferred masculine shape of a muscular man with a bull’s head, it could easily be mistaken for a T’Aurs at a distance or quick glance. But looking closer at, for example, the legs and face, the difference becomes obvious. Its left horn was also broken at half length, said by some of its Valar followers to be damage from when it was born. Some of the early Rimzirs did, though, claim it was broken when the god killed its master in their temple. As it was their ancestors who were on guard duty that day, and they who fought it – their might, magic paths, and released fylgias were no match for the newly embalmed god, though.

“The balm in one hand, its master’s hearth in the other, it rammed through the guardsmen. And fled.”

Skjald Sigurd

History

Dark Ages

Studies of ancient lore have revealed it was born at some point in the Dark Ages, but both Boriac and Vornir have stated it was not a being wich emerged from a mana link or node. Stoicheian and Wickeryadii dosent have any idea either although they at least have hinted at what Combat Herbs might have been used in its legendary birth-a rite where some mortal where elevated into godly power.

“Imagine that, being a mortal elevated such…”

Skjald Vinotis

Second Age

One story, related by the Stoicheian, stands out among this vivid carpet of events and tales: ‘The Bullheaded God, a supposedly selfmade god appeared from a pass in The Rim, below East Fjella. As this God was able to conceal its acts and intents from the Divine Races its traveled unhindrred. It met some T’Aurs of LEGIO V and persuaded them to let it accompany them. As they proceeded northward, towards The Grey Crevasse, it realised they where protecting the very thing it desired, and it tried to take it.

Quickly some threw themselves at the god, unleasing every skill they had to hold it meanwhile others fled with the treasure. Why these T’Aurs did not shun this creature in the first place is a mystery to us all. T’Aurs, on the other hand, are a daring Race. And a few weeks later, a large Dragonheaded longboat full of Rimzir was observed plodding across The Rim’s perilous passages, disregarding all coasts and ship calls as they entered into the open sea between East Fjella and the Isle of Ljostari – going directly towards the Isle of Findon and The Grey Crevasse.

“That Crevasse, is so much more than meets the eye.”

Ulrich

Third Age

As the bullheaded followers appeared and heralded the third age, swarming the lands in search of knowledge and secrets. They discovered the Padurian carpets, and they began to purchase all they could get a hold of. As the tribes realised it was more to unravel the creation process than anything else, they began to shun the wanderers. And when visitors came, they were at times killed.

Thus, the wanderers did less and less seeking out remote places, instead buying the carpets in towns and cities of other races. This all contributed to making the Padurians a remote people. But when the legend of the immortal weaver caught the ears of his agents, the bullheaded god came to their realm looking for Zair Sah Barakzai; some said it was to get a flying robe, others that it was a hunt for Zair’s lifespan.

“None told the whereabouts of their legend.”

Skjald Sejrik

In 4342, amidst those who accepted vampires or merely wanted them and their embracings gone, came the bullheaded god surging. Not hiding its true form as did most other gods, it came hunting for vampires. Almost 7000 years had passed since known vampires were slaughtered when a T’Aurs-like human marched through their capital’s main plaza with an authority few would possess.

Strolling up to an inn’s outdoor lot and confronting a visitor sitting in a high-collar robe with a broad-rimmed hat in the inn’s cooling, half-hiding shade. As the T’Aur-like approached, the visitor twisted its head and peered up, then sprang up and sliced the air with a long, nailed, pale hand. Missing the opponent’s face by a hair, people in the capital witnessed the power, agility, and speed of vampires in a vicious struggle that no mortal Ortagui could survive.

Furniture, construction parts, and unfortunate bypassers were subsequently hurled everywhere. The bullheaded one managed to grab the vampire head and instantly squashed it to the size of an apple. Looking around, the bullheaded victor dropped the mess, licked his lips, dried blood and gore off in the vampire’s coat, picked something off the body, and strolled out of the capital unchallenged. Meanwhile, the city guard swiftly gathered the vampire body parts and provided them to the academy.

“Teeth showed it was but a younger generation and not an elder. But still, its speed was lightning.”

Skjald Yell'a'beard

It was rare, but once the bullheaded god pursued a Moss’Ari, and as we know it hunted vampires, we suspect the Moss’Ari leader to have been embraced. Making it an even rarer lineup of events. The only clue we have managed to pry is that the Moss’Ari leader’s name was Ranét Ritzlouren, but there are no records, just weird tales telling of her becoming a vampire hunter. As it appeared with its followers, they were allowed to create a settlement on the south shore and began constructing their new home, Moss’Ulari.

“Nature’s children, listeners of starry memories. Began to gather.”

Skjald Vinotis

Fourth Age

Its presence was at first somewhat hidden in all the turmoil, but as our world slowly recovered from the cataclysm, mortals turned to their business. The whereabouts of the rampaging predator became the focus of a chosen few: the descendants of the Second Eight. All embraced by the vampires Lärrilyx Né Thryll, Havillalila Njorltaghur, and Japolo Diq Diwaq, and thus bestowed Stoicheian energies as well as having Wickeryadi combat herbs and Stoicheian potions. Decided its time was up, and they found it.

The bullheaded god, clueless about the actual powers of the Fourth Eight, charged them, and both sides’ retinues were flung aside. Just a few survived to tell the tale of a bullheaded god who had energies from slain vampires, so it matched the Fourth Eight’s power. But as they could deliver damage faster, the bullheaded god became increasingly wounded as the fight continued. Eventually there was only the bullheaded god and Yumari Cere standing.

By directing all her energies into a giant flash that enclosed them both, Yumari interrupted one of a bullheaded god’s magic paths and stunned it. Her energies turned into a large sphere. Flashing, the sphere shrank, its energies built with the bullheaded god clearly struggling inside. When it was but the size of a nut, it first exploded and then imploded, leaving but a chaos shard. Yumaris and the fourth eight lay broken on the stones, but the bullheaded god had vanished with a shriek. None have seen the god since.

“That fight – was any descending god worthy?”

Skjald Sejrik

Special

That chaotic shard, said to be the remains of the bullheaded god. It disappeared as well.

“Some say it’s the one Dogil has burning at his staff.”
