Ann Beahaug carries herself with pride, knowing what hearts desire and mouths want, she sways even the most unbendy oaks amongst men. Beneath the casual merry facade lies a observant tactican that quickly figures how to best ride a situation, gained from years of tavern life and swift raids. And with a gentle laugh, and slight twist of head that makes her hair curl in waves, she has won many a conflict before they even started.

When she sees something she wants, she puts her full attention into getting it, and it takes exceptional events or odd twists, to bend her mind, or for her to lose interest. But if the unexpected surfaces, and the stew turns sour, she drops it immedieatly.

“The warm smile is the flipside of her steel cutlass bite.”

History

Fourth Age

Born to Tatongōl / Clovincaz parents she is an exiting blend, especially as her grandmother was half Drakk Alfar and half Jomzaar. Many traits ran deep in her, and as she spent her formative years amidst the salty spray and bustling docks of Oslov, a hub at the northeastern coast of Kahulat at Midgard.

Her childhood offered a plenitude of exotic seafoods and spices delivering tastes of distant lands, a sensory education that became her trade. At first cooking and selling from a street food wagon, then as her reputation and sence of what to blend grew, she was hired by a local baron, as his personal chef.

As such this was her luck, as he became a court envoy trying to establish trade routes to Mealis, Markeoy, and Darin. These trips enhanced her culinary artistry, and as she met a lot of heroes and nobility like Black Oak, Lionel, and Nefius, it instilled a hunger for adventure in her.

An appetite that would give her quite a bump, because a Marquis at Markeoy, which had tasted her dishes at the Three Little Saloons wanted her for his own. But as she declined his offer, he had her charged as a spy and imprisoned her.

Tragedy struck, when her parents, on their way to her trail, were lost at sea. Its said it was Den Godan who had with him a pardon signed by Nefius, that delivered her the news about their demise.

It shattered her world, to know that they drowned on their way to her. And it not only left Ann alone, but also plunged her into deep sorrow. But after a period adrift, she found solace and a new family in the rough camaraderie of a pirate crew. Her exceptional cooking skills quickly earning her respect and a place at the helm of her own three-ship fleet, terrorizing the entire coast.

Ann’s world was irrevocably altered when the great invasion surged across the realm. Seeing the brutality of the invaders, she became obsessed by an unshakeable desire to protect the innocent. So, she rallied her pirates and answered the High King’s call. Her strategic brilliance and fierce courage turned the tide of battle. As a reward for her valor, she was granted governorship of the prosperous port of Oslov.

In a twist of fate, the King’s scholars, working to write her heritage and background, located her long-lost parents, presumed dead for years. Reunited with her family, Ann laid down her cutlass and governship and went back to a chef’s knife. Having had her share of adventure, she made her legendary culinary talent her new weapon, with which she made a grand empire.

She is now creating enchanting dishes for her esteemed establishments, ‘The Pirate Queen’, ‘The Golden Hull’, and ‘The Cubala Kettle’, all testaments to the diverse and extraordinary journey that forged her into both a formidable captain and a celebrated chef.

“Her life, a turbulent storm, swept and drowned many a man.”

~Skjald Sejrik
