Legend

“Believed to be founded around Mt. Vulas birth, but during the Cleansing Crusade, sages found proof it’s even older than that.”

Skjald Sejrik

Description

The Gyron are eight persons selected among the absolute top of kings, mages, merchants, sages, inventors, and whatever else would qualify a person to take the seat. Not only from amongst humans but also from the N-Erectus. Membership of the leaderboard is temporary, and should anyone be surpassed in importance, they are replaced and instead get a seat in the Gyron parliament.

Their parliament meeting is held annually, in secret locations around the realm. Most of those in the parliament are unknown to the public, but we know of a handfull living and some deceased members.

History

Third Age

None have shared when they formed, but it was mid or late third age, according to newfound records. At the time Ljostari sank they was a well established organisation, but the cataclysmic disaster surely had its impact.

Fourth Age

Right after the worst troubles with Arisen had been solved, they reformed, began to expand their agenda, and walked openly again.

Their rise to real power, becoming factor to count with, was during the 1st Alliance. Aiding neither side as they were uncertain of the impact of The Realm. They ended up becoming a core wheel of supplying the alliance, gaining them access to the entire realm.

Organisation

The location is being kept a secret from the public, even though some curious bards, rogues, and ragtags through time have tried to trail believed members and figure out the location. Oddly enough, most of these, starting with vague hints of such an organisation, always seem to find other interests, somehow be involved in disastrous accidents, or simply disappear. This leaves most to scholars and storytellers to claim its long gone as it faded away over time, and now they are but a legend in the scrolls of Allumnata Towers.

But today’s Gyron Lords are very much alive and active on a scale few can fathom. They discuss the realm and move a huge amount of minerals and men around as they try to shape a realm of economic balance. The main task over the last four years has been a frantic attempt to keep control of transport and now tries to settle logistics again.

I’ve heard that Coposim has entered that lot alongside Latinoor, and if that’s correct, I can assure you they are going to strengthen their position in the times ahead. It might even bring better times than under the wings of that childish High King, and hopefully access to their wineyards
