Legend

“Our World are but shadows between Astral and The Void.”

Skjald El Mary

History

When that we call Vornir of the Astral realised Mana not only stretched and thinned out into the Void, But he had created existence with reflexes, thought, and reproduction, as well as things of mass and solidity. They asked their Boriac counterparts if they would track the Void and gather all things found in a World.

Then Vornir began to study the edge of the astral realm, especially where Mana slowly swirled into something drifting off. Seeing these swirls either crystalize and become a Magic Shard that, when taken back to the astral pulse, would again dissolve and join the flow. Or become something from Raw material to Monster, or wither and end as a multicoloured magic hard. They began to shape and trim these swirls, meanwhile humming a tune of care, becoming the swirls Truename in the form of a Mana Thread.

Organisation

There are more Vornir than most think, and they have managed to trim the edge between Astral and the world. To a degree, most of us of the Mortal Races consider it myth or fantasy, or a place very hard to enter or meet something from. Yet their daunting task is so immense that they have created groups to be in charge of discovering swirls that are almost ready to break or drift off.

In my point of view, it may be smart to have the same group in charge of, say, Flora, but as a mountain pass, Outlands, and Astral experienced traveller, I know that travelling takes time even at Astral and that it affects the swirls. So this grouping instead of Astral location-based groups is foolish, but hey, I’m a mortal… hungry and thirsty too, so let’s fill this zoo table of ours and talk more another day.

Special

As swirls can take a long time to shape and may form everywhere at the Astral, any nearby traveller passing by might influence their final form.
