Vornir Weaving

Legend
“Our World are but shadows of what once was spun into The Void from the Astral.”
“But then again, rather a gentle shadow, than the roaming presences of the Void.”
Description

Weavings of the Vornir are the oldest, and most refined of the weaving arts, and also the most potent as they have had not only hundreds of thousands of years to refine it. But they have also made sure to prevent their work to raise above their own abilities -wise beings indeed. It generally consist of them moving bodies, limbs, hands, and fingers to set the Mana Sea in motion, and then spin the energies into something envisioned -or slightly aid the forming of something already swirling into something.
“Surely they aid random swirls, but rest assured that this aid is always in line with their vision for their ‘world’ garden.”
—Skjald Ulrich
History

Vornir began to study the edge of the Astral, especially where Mana slowly swirled into something and drifted off. Seeing these swirls either crystalize and become a Magic Shard, that when taken back to the astral, would again dissolve and join the flow. Or become something interesting in the Void, from Raw material to Monster, or wither and end as a multicoloured magic hard. They began to shape and trim these swirls, meanwhile humming a tune of care, becoming the swirls Truename in the form of a Mana Thread.
“One should speak with care, but I think its fari to say that in mind of Divines there no big difference.”
—Skjald Valgrif
When that we call Vornir of the Astral realised Mana not only leaked, stretched and thinned out into the Void, But it had created existence with reflexes, thought, and reproduction, as well as things of mass and solidity. They asked their Boriac cousins to track the Void and gather examples of all things found. Examining things they either allowed it to exist, altered it, or destroyed it by disolving it back to its fluid mana source -by disrupting its weave and unspinning it.
The Vornir and Boriac’s work eventually resulted in the birthing of Gods, whom began to emulate weaving and thus creating disharmony and an outright cacophony of distorted existences. Seeing this, Vornir, Boriac, Stoicheian, and Wickeryadi, tricked the gods into a daunting task to transform all of the Void Gardens into a vast carpet, which they wrapped around and enclosed the Astral. The attempt to fully enclose the Astral and prevent further leaks was though not totally successful, but the forming of our World did limit it greatly.
“Few are those, of both divine and mortal existence, that mourns the days of random leaks.”
—Skjald Ulrich
Organisation

There are more Vornir than most think, and they have managed to trim the edge between Astral and the world. To a degree, most of us of the Mortal Races consider it myth or fantasy, or a place very hard to enter or meet something from. Yet their daunting task is so immense that they have created groups to be in charge of discovering swirls that are almost ready to break or drift off. To our knowledge they have grouped themselves and act as the filter of each colour of the mana sea.
“It’s hard to imagine a Violet Vornir meddling into the birth of something organic, or even with Spirit -But their aid in that that has occurred.”
—Skjald El Mary
In my point of view, it may be smart to have the same group in charge of, say, Flora, but as a mountain pass, Outlands, and Astral experienced traveller, I know that travelling takes time even at Astral and that it affects the swirls. So this grouping instead of Astral location-based groups is foolish, but hey, I’m a mortal… hungry and thirsty too, so let’s fill this zoo table of ours and talk more another day.
“It may be possible though, they they actually does utilize the AStral spin and step in and out using our world as time saving device.”
—Skjald Yell'a'Beard
Special
As swirls can take a long time to shape and may form everywhere at the Astral, any nearby traveller passing by might influence their final form.
“Also, one could, if too close to a grandmasters spin, be caught up and becomt its component.ce.”
