History

A fearless botanist by the name of Finnta Finnbakk found the Fern of Swefoltre. Finnta, known for his passion for wild places, journeyed far into the enchanted forest. He stumbled upon the resplendent fern there and realized its incredible potential amid the old trees and lush undergrowth.

Description

Leaves: Large, feathery, emerald-green leaves with intricate patterns that are arranged symmetrically in a spiral are present.

Stem: Up to three feet tall, the stem is initially woody before becoming flexible and non-woody as it approaches the fronds.

Flowers: Ferns do not have typical flowers; instead, they reproduce through spores.

Root: The fern’s extensive root system enables it to flourish in a variety of forest habitats.

Bark: Ferns are primitive, non-flowering plants, so they lack bark.

Handling

Preparation: This fern’s fronds are prepared by being dried for five days and then ground into a fine powder.

Product: Powder and poultice.

Use: Primary component of potions.

Effect 1: By enhancing Constitution, increase physical stamina.

Effect 2: If used soon after a fall, the damage from falling is halved.
