History

Nobody knows how it came to be, and not even the Vornir can remember how it began. However, it was exclusively utilized by the Vornir for thousands of years. Then a small group of Drakk Alfar discovered it, and because a big number of these Drakk Alfar turned Vampires, Vampires have also known about it for millennia.

During the great struggle of the 4286 First Age, The Vornir unleashed all previously generated Truenames in the Hymn of Truenames, a holy chant that brought Vornirian words and sounds to the ears of Humans and the majority of the N-Erectus.

It was a desperate act, and some regard it as Vornir’s worst blunder – even worse than allowing Drakk Alfar to assist in the construction of Ljost Alfar. All living entities gained awareness of their Truenames as a result of the Hymn.

Organisation

This is what we know of the Vornirian language:

  1. Syllabic Structure:
    • The Vornirian language is syllabic in nature. Each syllable consists of a consonant and a vowel sound. Consonants and vowels are combined to create meaningful sounds that form words and truenames.
  2. Truenames Formation:
    • Truenames are formed by combining specific syllables that hold inherent meanings. These syllables are derived from ancient Vornirian roots, each representing a concept, element, emotion, or attribute.
    • Each truename is a unique combination of these syllables, reflecting the essence of the Mana Thread it represents.
  3. Meanings and Associations:
    • Consonants and vowels have symbolic meanings and associations. For example, certain consonants might represent elements like fire, water, earth, or air, while specific vowels could represent emotions such as joy, sorrow, anger, or love.
    • These meanings add depth and nuance to the truenames, allowing Vornir and other speakers to intuitively understand the nature of the Mana Thread.
  4. Phonetic Variations:
    • Truenames can have different pronunciations and variations based on dialects, accents, and regional influences. These variations might affect the nuances of the truenames’ meanings.
  5. Rhythm and Melody:
    • Vornirian is also known for its rhythmic and melodic qualities. The language’s intonation and rhythm can affect the power and resonance of the truenames when spoken or chanted.
  6. Script and Symbols:
    • The Vornirian script is a combination of intricate symbols and glyphs, each representing a specific syllable or a concept. These symbols can be woven, carved, or inscribed to create physical representations of truenames.
  7. Magical Resonance:
    • Speaking or chanting a truename in the Vornirian language resonates with the inherent magical energies of the Mana Thread. Uttering a truename can have direct effects on the associated Mana, allowing manipulation, redirection, or protection.
  8. Learning and Mastery:
    • Learning the Vornirian language and the art of truename manipulation is a lifelong endeavor. Practitioners must study the ancient roots, understand the symbolic meanings, and master the correct intonation and rhythm to wield truenames effectivel
  9. Cultural Significance:
    • The Vornirian language and truenames are deeply intertwined with Vornir culture and history. They are revered as sacred, and the mastery of truenames is a mark of honor and wisdom among the Vornir.
