Faramot’s Peak

Legend

“A mountain so mighty tall… shaken and crumbled all… Alfar uncounted died there… their artefacts are now everywhere.”

Skjald Kazumix

History

Fourth Age

With the sinking of Ljostari, the great mountain that resided atopp Moffe's Spikes crumbled and caved in. Some say it was because the Drakk Alfar of Cirxaya Nahâdâ had dug too many hallways and rooms; others say that it was a great ritual there that triggered the collapse. Whatever, there are only the tiny, compared to the other red mountains, remains of the former mountain roots sticking up, creating Faramot’s Peak.

The rumour about and quite large amount of Drakk Alfar Items and Objects found there has resulted in quite a lot of Towns, Villages, and Hamlets. All with a plentitude of inns, taverns, and other rest stops to accommodate the endless stream of Treasure Hunters.

Of course, there are also a rather large number of rascals, thugs, thieves, brigands, and other nasty personalities in the area. All eager to ambush and plunder the lucky finder, of any and all values. Thus, there are also a lot of security militias trotting the dusty paths, trying to uphold law and order while at times also securing treasures and artefacts for the local lords. So be careful to be seen and met by anyone, or announce your finds.

Cartography

It lies at the Border between Claun and Esly, its Southern side flattening out into Valley Vrondarr. There in Claun are the towns of Khöln, Armaburg, and Osnabûrg. The villages of Merlin, and Darmst, the hamlet Flönsbur, and Fort Fnô fill the landscape.

To the north in Esly, the towns of Varda, Aurora Crossing, Madril, and Kinjarta, and villages of Aalsrûd, and Khjélmà, are the Settlements that provide shelter.

To the west, across the ridge, high up the neighbouring mountain, the fortified Fautyr maze, Vibralla, heralds an area that makes most shun it.
